The Golden Lion Hotel Middlewich

Located in the heart of Middlewich, the Golden Lion is your local traditional pubinn that dates back to the 17th century. With low ceilings, a selection of hand pulled real ales on tap, open log burning fires and a maze of nooks and crannies with traditional pub decor. There is entertainment available most days of the week, from quiz nights to live entertainment at the weekend, also a pool table, darts and dominoes. Freshly prepared food is available from 7.30am until 4.30pm (Monday-Sunday). A selection of cold sandwiches and savouries can be pre-ordered for picnics or room-service.PLEASE NOTE: Our front door will be locked during the week at midnight and weekends 1am so guests will be required to return before this time.There are 7 letting bedrooms, which all have en suite bathrooms and have recently undergone a programme of refurbishment. All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, wi-fi and 42 flat screen tv. On the first floor there is a function Room which leads directly onto the sun drenched terrace with outside seating area where regular barbeques and parties are hosted. This area is available for free hire for parties, christenings and any other event. The Golden Lion is located 1.5miles from junction 18 off the M6. Its location in the heart of Cheshire makes it an ideal base to visit many interesting places e.g. Oulton Park Race Circuit, Jodrell Bank, Sandbach, Crewe, Chester, Northwich, Macclesfield, Manchester, etc.
